Walk 8 of the Cherry Pie Walks including a visit to "Swan Lake."

A medium length walk (3 miles, climbing 487ft). Ideal to walk off a Sunday lunch, or to work up an appetite before dinner.

The walk starts facing the Cherry Pie Inn (P). Take the minor road to the left of the Inn up Gledlom Hill. At Gledlom Cottage (1) bear left. At the Ysceifiog Road (2) turn left and it’s not far ‘til you come to a stile and gate on your right (3). Cross the stile and follow the arrow until you reach the Mold-Denbigh Road (4). Cross with caution. You will see Swan Cottage and a stile. Go over the stile passing “Swan Lake” on your left. Follow the directions up the hill through the meadow and over another stile (5). Turn left and walk on passing Bryn Golau Farm. Follow the road to Pont Sarn (a bridge over the disused railway line) turning right just before the bridge (6). Carry on to Nannerch Lodge (7) where you turn left and head back to the Cherry Pie Inn.

Most of this walk is on very minor roads, but paths either side of the Mold-Denbigh road can be muddy after wet weather. Boots or shoes with good grip are recommended.

Parking: Cherry Pie Inn, the Old Mill, the Rising Sun car parks.
